The population census in Kazakhstan starts on September 1 and will last until October 15. This was reported at a meeting of the special commission chaired by Kazakh First Deputy Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov. The procedure will be conducted online. Kazakh citizens will be able to register on a special website sanaq.gov.kz around the clock, filling census questionnaires on their own for both themselves and other family members. Experts noted that the traditional door to door going will be held from October 1 to 30 in compliance with all necessary sanitary rules in order to cover all the country’s citizens. Census takers are expected to fill in the data of Kazakh residents using special mobile application on computer tablets. This will increase the level of confidence and avoid duplication of information.
