Kazakh schools continue accepting applications for enrollment to the first grade. A total of 285,000 applications have already been submitted, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science reported. More than 380,000 first-graders are expected to go to schools in the upcoming academic year. Also, the period when parents can choose a school and prepare documents was increased by a month, that is, they now can do it from April 1 to August 1. Previously, the documents were accepted from June 1 to August 30. This way, schools too will have time to form classes in advance, distribute working hours among teachers and make up the teaching staff according to the number of classes. In addition, preparatory groups for children who have not completed their pre-school training will start their work after August 10.
