Over 179 billion tenge invested in Akmola region in first half of 2024

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Akmola region governor Marat Akhmetzhanov, who reported on the region's socio-economic development results for the first half of the year. Over 179 billion tenge were invested in the region’s economy, with an investment portfolio that includes 187 projects. Positive growth dynamics are observed in industrial production, gross agricultural output, transportation services, and communications. In particular, a high grain yield is expected, with plans to harvest over five million tonnes. Additionally, nine projects are scheduled to launch in the manufacturing industry this year. To further diversify the region's economy, the Aqmola industrial zone of national significance has been created.

«The Head of State was also informed about the systematic work to eliminate the consequences of the floods and the implementation of measures to support affected citizens. Residents are being provided with housing, property damage compensation has been completed, and riverbank reinforcement and cleanup of the Zhabai and Kylshakty riverbeds are underway. Additionally, the Head of State was briefed on preparations for the heating season and the progress of national projects. President Tokayev instructed to continue work on implementing the strategic development plans for the Akmola region,» Akhmetzhanov said.
