Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is on an official
visit to Serbia. In the airspace, the aircraft carrying the Head of State was
escorted by fighter jets from the host country’s Air Force. Upon arrival at
Belgrade airport, President Tokayev was welcomed by Serbian President
Aleksandar Vučić. The parties are set to hold high-level talks. The Presidents
will discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries in political,
trade and economic, transport and logistics, as well as cultural and
humanitarian spheres. A number of bilateral agreements are expected to be
signed following the talks. A meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević
is also on the agenda.
Kazakhstan’s national flag displayed on Belgrade Tower
Notably, in honor of President Tokayev’s visit, the
168-meter Belgrade Tower was illuminated with the image of Kazakhstan’s
sky-blue flag. Opened more than a month ago, the tower has since become a new
symbol of the Serbian capital.
