Nur-Sultan installs “smart” air disinfection bus stop

Kazakhstan’s capital launched a “smart” bus stop with an autonomous disinfection. The Kazakh-made invention that has no analogues in the CIS will allow disinfecting the air silently and remotely, killing 99 percent of viruses, including COVID-19. The principle of the know-how is simple – the air passes through double filtration and ultraviolet light and comes out clear. The “smart” system has been installed in pilot mode only in one bus stop pavilion so far. The developers plan to scale up the project to the whole country soon.

“There is no need for staff to be present in order to monitor this equipment. It is located in our office, from where we see what is happening in a bus stop through the office computer. We manage it from the office, set a time to a program when it should be turned on and when it should be turned off. It depends on the occupancy of the bus stop,” said Ruslan Yerketayev, Project Manager.
