Kazakh schoolchildren’s project named among top 100 best global innovations

A project created by Kazakh schoolchildren has made it into the top 100 best global innovations and was included in the 2024 Rise Global Winners list, one of the most prestigious programs worldwide. Eleventh-graders Khaidar Atagulla and Kairkhan Lukpanov from Atyrau developed smart glasses powered by artificial intelligence. This device performs four key functions. In addition to answering questions, scanning, and reading text, it helps visually impaired individuals navigate their surroundings and describes what is happening in the room. Notably, the young inventors do not plan to stop there and intend to further expand the functionality of their invention.

«The main goal was to help the visually impaired. Before starting the development of the program, I learned the Python programming language and took various courses. Once I had learned everything, I began working on my project,» shared the project author Khaidаr Atagulla.
