Kazakhstan has entered the top 10 countries globally in the
Online Service Index (OSI), according to data from the United Nations (UN), as
reported by Energyprom.kz. The index evaluates the availability and quality of
online public services, reflecting not only their range but also the extent of
interaction between government agencies and citizens in an electronic format,
including application submissions and receipt of results. For comparison, the
next closest ranking among CIS and Central Asian countries is Armenia, which
placed 53rd, followed by Russia, Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and
Turkmenistan. South Korea tops the list with the highest scores. Notably,
Kazakhstan has also ranked 24th in the UN Global E-Government Development Index
(EDGI). Kazakh citizens use e-government services 40 million times annually.
