NPP referendum in Kazakhstan: Exit poll results announced

Nearly 72 percent of Kazakh citizens voted in favor of constructing a nuclear power plant in the referendum, according to exit poll data announced by the Institute of Eurasian Integration. Slightly more than 28 percent of respondents chose the option «No, I do not agree». The poll was conducted as voters exited polling stations in 17 regions, as well as in the cities of Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent. Notably, five other public organizations were also involved in the preliminary vote counting using exit polling methodology on the day of the referendum.
