Branch of another international university will be built in Kazakhstan. A ceremonial laying of the first stone of the Michigan State University branch took place in the capital. The facility will consist of a pedagogical building, an engineering block and a dormitory. In addition, the project provides for green recreation areas, lecture halls, amphitheater, alleys and a pier. The university will train skilled professionals of international level in education, construction and architecture. Earlier in January, Kazakh President instructed to open at least five branches of advanced foreign universities in the country over the next three years.
“First of all, Michigan State University has a large program for the international expansion and partnership, and secondly, they have one of the strongest schools of education,” said Sayasat Nurbek, the Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education.
