A large pharmaceutical plant will be built in Kazakhstan. The facility will
be constructed in the Almaty region with private investments. The project is
valued at 32.5 billion tenge. The full-cycle biopharmaceutical complex will
manufacture more than 20 types of medicines, including modern immunobiological
drugs as well as treatments for cancer and rare diseases. The project will also
include research and development activities. In addition, the complex will
provide training and professional development opportunities for Kazakh specialists.
The plant is scheduled for launch in 2031.
«The facility will operate in compliance with international GMP standards,
enabling the domestic production of medicines. Including this project, a total
of eight major projects worth 391 billion tenge are currently being implemented.
These projects will include new manufacturing facilities, hundreds of types of
medicines, and more than 1,000 jobs,» noted Kazakh Vice Minister of Health Timur Muratov.
