Another cross-border hub is set to be established in
Kazakhstan. It will be built in the Abai region next year, with over seven
billion tenge allocated for this purpose. The Bakhty multifunctional transport
and logistics terminal is expected to handle and consolidate cargo. The launch
of the hub will increase the throughput capacity of goods and support the
development of border infrastructure. Notably, five key cross-border hubs are
currently under construction in Kazakhstan. They will be located on the borders
with the Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan, Russia, China, and on the Caspian Sea
coast.
