Kazakhstan’s new Constitution will enhance the efficiency of financial institutions, create a favorable environment for investors and businesses, and simplify the attraction of funds for long-term projects, based on institutional stability and resilience. According to Kazakh economist Saparbai Zhobayev, one of the provisions of the new Basic Law provides for the possibility of establishing special legal regimes in the financial sector, in line with international practice.
«From
the perspective of its benefits for Kazakhstan’s economy, the draft of the new
Basic Law provides for an expansion of economic freedom for enterprises,
quasi-state companies, and banks. The introduction of a special legal regime
means creating favorable conditions for economic growth. In addition, the
special legal regime provides
for certain incentives
in areas such as taxation and investment activity,» economist
Saparbai Zhobayev noted.
