Private property and its inviolability are a key component of a stable state. Such a provision is enshrined in Kazakhstan’s new Constitution. It guarantees the protection of property, and any issues related to its seizure or restriction are resolved exclusively through judicial proceedings. At the same time, as Mazhilis member Aidarbek Khojanazarov noted, in cases of violations of constitutional rights and legitimate interests, citizens may directly appeal to the Constitutional Court. This creates additional safeguards for property protection. According to him, such a provision is particularly important for the stable development of business and Kazakhstan’s investment climate.
«If investors want to
invest in our country, whether they are Kazakh or foreign, they must clearly
understand that their property and investments are secure and protected by the
country’s highest law. Therefore, I believe this provision in the Constitution
is one of the most important in terms of the development of our country and its
transformation into an economically strong and stable state,» noted Aidarbek Khojanazarov, a member of the Mazhilis,
the Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament.
