A 56-volume research book about fallen war heroes has been
republished in Kazakhstan in a large print run. It took nearly 30 years to gather
information about the frontline soldiers. The book includes unique materials on
Kazakh soldiers who participated in the war, listed by name. This allows anyone
interested to find information about their deceased relatives. According to the
authors, data on more than 13,000 Kazakh soldiers was found during the
information-gathering process alone.
«This year, ahead of the 80th anniversary of the Great
Victory, the Ministry of Information helped us. The book is now being published
in a large, high-quality print run. We will distribute it to all libraries. As
a result, people throughout Kazakhstan, especially the younger generation, will
gain access to unique information that has never been available before in the
CIS, Russia, or any other country,» noted Baktykozha Izmukhambetov, Chairman of
the Central Council of the «Organization of Veterans» national public
association.
