Moroccan adventurer travels halfway around world to visit Kazakhstan

A traveler from Morocco, Aboufirass Abdelghani, has embarked on a journey through dozens of countries to reach Kazakhstan. After a month on the road and covering thousands of kilometers, the 67-year-old adventurer has crossed multiple European nations, as well as Türkiye, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. Following the legendary Silk Road, he made his way to Kazakhstan on a motorcycle. He has visited several cities, including Aktau, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, and Turkistan, with plans to travel to Almaty next. Abdelghani is deeply impressed by the hospitality of the Kazakh people. He notes that wherever he goes, he is greeted warmly, treated to traditional dishes, and invited to hear stories about the region’s culture and traditions. In addition, police officers help him along the way, and almost every household offers him a place to stay for the night. Abdelghani is immensely grateful to the Kazakh people for their sincerity, kindness, and open hearts. Back in Morocco, he is a successful entrepreneur and hotel chain owner. Throughout this journey, he is not only exploring the local culture but also looking into opportunities for future cooperation.

«Kazakhstan is growing up. I think Kazakhstan is a safe country. So I never had any problem in Kazakhstan. And that is one of the best things you can have in the country to grow up, and the people come in,» Abdelghani shared.
