The best vocal technique professor in the world held a master class for Kazakh opera singers. Individual classes are held at the Astana Opera, during which each artist can rehearse with the maestro. Anatoli Goussev is famous for his rich teaching experience and many of his students have gained international fame. He still collaborates with the most famous theaters in Europe. Seven or eight Kazakh soloists take his master classes every day. The lessons include technical training, as well as work on the style and pronunciation of the Italian and French texts of opera arias. The masterclass will run until July 8. Goussev’s tasks also include preparation of two groups of the artists for the upcoming opera La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi.
“All of the opera characters, two groups of the artists come to me and we hone their style, language, pauses, musical notes and intonation. There’s serious work going on, and I work very hard with singers. I am very glad that they are completely adequate to my comments and take into account all my requirements,” said Anatoli Goussev, professor, Donizetti Academy, Milan.
