In September, test operations of the LRT are set to begin in
Astana. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov was briefed on the progress of one of

equipped with monitors, cameras, and a set of systems for unmanned train
control.
«Training of specialized personnel has also begun. Landscaping
will be carried out along the entire LRT line. Test operation of the LRT is
scheduled to begin in September and will involve running trains without

accordance with the advanced GoA4 standard, which includes a test period of about
six months,» noted Assylbek Duissebayev, Chairman of the Board of the City
Transportation Systems.
