K. Tokayev awarded president of Azerbaijan with Order of Golden Eagle

The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan signed a declaration on greater strategic relations and an in-depth allied interaction. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is currently on an official visit to Baku. During the meetings in narrow and expanded formats, the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation. In particular, they signed agreements on trade and economic interaction, a memorandum of understanding and collaboration in the fields of transport and transit traffic. Also, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with the Order of the Golden Eagle for his great contribution to the political, economic and cultural interaction between the two countries.

“We had a very fruitful meeting in a narrow format. The program of my visit includes a ceremony of awarding you with the highest honor of Kazakhstan, the Order of the Golden Eagle. You make a great contribution to the development of multilateral and multifaceted cooperation between our states. In appreciation, on behalf of the entire Kazakh nation, I would like to award you with this order,” Kazakh President said.

“I am very proud that you decided to award me the highest order of Kazakhstan, a brotherly nation for us. For my part, I will continue to do everything to contribute to the development of our friendly and fraternal relations. History and common roots connect our peoples. Today, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, as two independent states, confidently moving along the path of independence, demonstrate high rates of economic development, as well as solutions of social issues. The world recognition of our countries is growing,” Aliyev thanked.
