The competition among artisans kicked off in Nur-Sultan. The project is aimed at realizing the business potential of craftspeople. According to the organizers, this is a unique platform for promoting the handicraft products both in the country’s domestic and foreign markets. In addition, the project contestants will benefit from the various masterclasses held as part of the competition by professionals, experts and insiders of the craft, design, fashion, tourism and other creative industries.
“We’re just getting started. We are already witnessing the so-called ‘Kazakh wave’. This is a mass export of Kazakh culture. I’m talking about the national athletes, chess players, creative workers, designers, music DJs and cyber athletes who already glorify our country abroad. We would like to work on amending the legislative framework, on changing the entire process of organizing support and on introducing systemic measures to support creative people. We hope that this encouraging competition will attract the public interest in this field. So that young, creative and talented people, who are taking the first steps in this area, could have motivation. There is a small cash prize for the competition winners,” said Talgat Amanbayev, Chairperson of Kazakh Tourism National Company.
The winners of the competition will receive not only a monetary prize, but also the promotion of their products with the support of the project sponsors. Their names will be announced in September.
