Large grain terminal set to commence operation in Mangystau region

The Beineu grain terminal is set to be launched in the Mangystau region. It will simultaneously store up to 100,000 tonnes of grain, as well as produce 400 tonnes of flour per day and 25,000 tonnes of bran per year. The terminal’s annual cargo turnover will reach two million tonnes. It will provide farm animals with concentrated feed, according to the regional governor’s office. Moreover, the produced goods are planned to be exported to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan. The terminal is capable of serving as a land-based transshipment storage facility for further transportation, which will have a multiplicative economic effect not only on the region but on the country as a whole. Notably, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has emphasized the importance of restoring the operation of the Beineu terminal.
