Kazakhstan to fully meet its poultry meat demand within two years

Kazakhstan aims to fully meet its poultry meat demand within the next two years. To achieve this, the capacities of four poultry farms across the country will be expanded from 2025 to 2026, with the goal of collectively producing an additional 200,000 tonnes of poultry meat annually. Furthermore, the government anticipates that this strategy will address the country’s import dependence on this product and facilitate its further export. Currently, Kazakhstan produces 328,000 tonnes of poultry meat per year. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, a pool of 91 investment projects totaling 447 billion tenge has been formed in the agro-industrial complex. Priority areas include meat, milk, grain processing, and greenhouse farming development, with a significant focus on livestock development using the unique Australian method.
