Just over a month remains before Kazakhstan holds elections to the
Kurultai. The election campaign is proceeding in accordance with the schedule
approved by the Central Election Commission, with several key stages set to
take place in the coming weeks. The composition of the territorial
election commissions will be published by July 11. The members of the precinct
election commissions, as well as the addresses and boundaries of polling
stations, will be announced on July 16. The nomination of party lists will
continue until July 13, while their registration will close at 6 p.m. on July
23. Election campaigning will then begin and run until midnight on August 22, the designated day
of silence. Precinct election commissions will submit voter lists on August 2,
and from August 7, voters will be able to check their details. Voting will take
place on August 23.
