Kemel Tokayev’s «Special assignment» book presented in Azerbaijan

The presentation of the book «Special assignment» by prominent Kazakh writer and public figure Kemel Tokayev opened the Baku International Book Fair in Azerbaijan. Translated into Azerbaijani, the story tells about war and the heroic struggle of soldier-defenders. The publication was organized by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. Kemel Tokayev is one of the founders of the detective genre in Kazakh literature. The writer has made a significant contribution to the development of the Turkic culture and the art of the word. Last year, his novel «Night shot» was also released in Azerbaijani.

«The book «Special assignment» by outstanding Kazakh writer and public figure Kemel Tokayev from the series «Pearls of Turkic literature» is another edition of the Foundation. Besides his writing, he was engaged in journalism, covering Kazakhstan’s cultural and social problems. This publication is the Foundation’s contribution to the study of the outstanding writer’s rich creativity and will serve to popularize his literary heritage.
