Kazakhstan and Belarus have signed a roadmap for the
development of trade and economic cooperation over the next five years. This
roadmap aims to expand the pool of joint projects and establish closer ties
between the business communities of the two countries. These are the outcomes
of talks between the Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Belarus. Notably, the
two governments are working together to advance industrial cooperation. The
joint pool includes 14 projects worth nearly $280 million, with 11 joint ventures
already launched, totaling $200 million. The plants are assembling tractors,
grain and forage harvesters, and trailed agricultural machinery. Mutual trade
volumes are also rising, reaching $600 million in the first eight months of
this year. The parties also agreed on cooperation in tourism development and
cultural and humanitarian partnership, signing an action plan as part of the
latter initiative.
