President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Kazinform International News Agency, one of the country’s oldest media outlets, on its 105th anniversary. The Head of State highlighted Kazinform’s special role in
chronicling national history, advancing reforms, and shaping Kazakhstan’s image
abroad. The anniversary was marked by two premieres - a documentary film and a book dedicated to
key milestones in the agency’s history.
«It was very important for
us to showcase this transformation and the entire historical journey, because
Kazinform’s path is essentially the path of Kazakhstan itself. Today, we see a
completely different Kazinform, which has become part of the Kazakh President’s TV and Radio Complex and
continues to expand. It is now the largest international news agency, signing
memorandums with countries worldwide and with correspondents working across the
globe,» said the author
of the film
Maya Bekbayeva.
Kazinform keeps pace with
the times. Its publications go beyond texts and
images,
featuring video content, infographics, and
active social media broadcasting. Readers around the world receive breaking
news in real time in Kazakh (including in Latin script), Russian, English, Chinese, and Uzbek.
The agency’s website is updated
daily
with about a
thousand original articles, supported by an
extensive correspondent network that covers all regions of the country and
includes international bureaus.
«Kazinform has always
brought together the country’s
best news journalists. Our reporters excel at swiftly turning information into
newswire content and at rigorous fact-checking. For Kazinform, reliable
coverage of the most important events has always been paramount. We do not chase
sensationalism or speed - accuracy and truth have always been
our highest standards,»
noted Askar Jaldinov, Deputy Director of the
Kazakh President’s TV and
Radio Complex.
