President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit to Türkiye holds
exceptional significance for further strengthening the strategic partnership
and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors. The two sides signed a
number of documents aimed at reinforcing the contractual framework of bilateral
relations. These agreements cover priority areas such as the economy, energy,
education, defense, and transport. According to expert Zhanibek Arynov, these
developments represent an important step forward. Equally significant are
President Tokayev’s meetings with representatives of Turkish business circles,
which underscore the considerable potential for cooperation. Kazakhstan continues
to actively attract new investments and offer joint projects.
«For us, perhaps one of the key areas is transportation, transport
corridors, particularly the Middle Corridor, which runs through Kazakhstan and
then on to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye. In this regard, Türkiye holds
great significance for us. Another area of cooperation is the defense sector. Numerous
agreements have been signed with Turkish companies. Cooperation through the
Ministry of Defense is progressing well, encompassing personnel training,
experience exchange, and joint exercises,» noted international relations expert
and political scientist Zhanibek Arynov.
