Kazakhstan is set to export
100,000 tonnes of oil to Germany via the Druzhba oil pipeline in August.
Despite the shutdown of one of its strings due to a leak in Poland, Kazakhstan
will not have losses and will resume supplies soon, the Energy Ministry reported.
As of early July, Kazakhstan has transported almost 300,000 tonnes of oil to
this European state. It bears noting that one of the major domestic oil and gas
companies received the quota for increasing oil exports this year. The quota
implies that Kazakhstan can ship more than one million tonnes of oil to Germany
in 2023. The first batch was shipped six months ago in February, experts recalled.
“Polish pipeline operator PERN
did not notify us about possible problems with oil supply. In general,
everything is working as usual. According to their information, deliveries will
be resumed and there will be no problems. As for the incident, we were informed
about the plans to transport oil in the direction of Samara for its further
delivery to Adamowo-Zastawa this August,” said Temirlan Urkumbayev,
spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of Energy.
