A single register of domestically
produced goods will be established in Kazakhstan. This initiative aims to
reduce the burden on Kazakh companies exporting their products to other
countries and make them eligible for various state support measures. Ways to
enhance the effectiveness of its mechanisms were discussed at the Government’s
meeting. It bears noting that the requirements to enter the register include a
one-time confirmation of having appropriate production and technological
conditions, as well as the verification of design documentation, production
facilities, equipment, and qualified personnel. According to experts, this
approach will enable the state support measures to focus on bona fide domestic
manufacturers, encouraging localization, modernization, and expansion of
production capacities within the country. Additionally, it will enhance
transparency in pricing for various goods. The development of the new system should
continue in close cooperation with the Atameken National Chamber of
Entrepreneurs and industry associations, according to Kazakh Prime Minister
Alikhan Smailov. He also stressed the importance of integrating the registry
with the databases of government agencies to ensure it operates in the best
interest of businesses.
