Kazakhstan to earn up to $75 million from export of three spacecraft

Kazakhstan is set to earn up to $75 million from exporting three of the six spacecraft currently under development. They will be delivered to Nigeria, Congo, and Mongolia. The first medium-resolution Earth remote sensing satellites are expected to be launched as early as 2027. The plans were announced at the international forum Space Days Kazakhstan in Almaty, which brought together more than 700 representatives of the global aerospace industry from 60 countries. The event concluded with the signing of memorandums on joint satellite use, expertise exchange, and project development.

«We are finally reaching the stage of exports, which has long been expected of us. Our components, such as the onboard computer and power supply system, will be used. Some parts are still being procured, but the design, assembly, testing, launch preparation, and overall support will all be carried out by our engineers,» noted Kaiyrzhan Kozhayev, Chairman of the  Board of Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary national company.
