President Tokayev: Kazakhstan must become global transport and transit hub

Today, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered the state-of-the-nation address, noting that increasing of the transport and transit potential is one of the main tasks for the country. He reminded that the state is implementing major projects in this area. For example, a container hub is being established in Aktau, the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route is also being developed. The best logistics companies in the world will be involved in the projects. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company will be transformed into a transit and logistics corporation, the Head of State added.

“In the current geopolitical conditions, Kazakhstan is the most important land corridor between Asia and Europe. We must take full advantage of this opportunity and become a global transport and transit hub,” Tokayev said.
