Kazakhstan-Singapore: new chapter in bilateral partnership

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security of Singapore Teo Chee Hean. The parties discussed prospects for the development of political and economic cooperation between the two countries. The Head of State stressed that Astana stands ready to open a new chapter in bilateral cooperation, focusing on a trustful dialogue and dynamic trade and investment ties. At the end of the meeting, President Tokayev signed his book titled ‘Overcoming. Diplomatic Essays’ in English, which Teo Chee Hean had earlier brought from Kazakhstan. The Head of State also met with Singapore’s third Prime Minister, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who noted that the city-state is committed to continuing its strategic partnership with Kazakhstan. The parties discussed issues of cooperation in investment, finance, trade and economic, transport and logistics, as well as humanitarian spheres.
