The Digital Monitoring Center of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), proposed by the Kazakh President at the 12th OTS Summit, is intended to accelerate the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and ensure transparency and efficiency in logistics. Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov stated this at the second meeting of the heads of government of the Organization’s member states in Baku. Bektenov also proposed creating a special working group to advance this initiative. Additionally, he noted that Turan special economic zone has been launched in Turkistan to support business, where new joint production facilities and technology clusters will be located. The meeting participants focused on prospects for expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, strengthening energy security, and promoting the rational use of water resources in Central Asia.
«As Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted, the
Organization of Turkic States is now seen by the international community as a
respected and cohesive organization capable of addressing major challenges. By
the end of 2025, Kazakhstan’s trade with the Organization’s member states
reached $12.9 billion. We are keen to further deepen trade, economic, and
investment ties, fully leveraging the Organization’s potential,» said Bektenov.
