Kazakhstan’s pavilion has won first place at the World
Expo in Japan, earning top honors in the Theme Development category. Over 90
countries competed in this category among small pavilions. The jury praised the
pavilion for its original and thoughtful interpretation of Expo 2025’s main
theme: Designing Future Society for Our Lives. Japanese and international media
are highlighting this achievement. During the Expo, the pavilion hosted nine
business and cultural events, including Kazakhstan’s National Day, dedicated to
the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbaiuly. From its opening days, it became one
of the most visited venues, welcoming 1.5 million visitors over six months.
Guests explored Kazakhstan’s rich culture, traditions, and history, as well as
its economic and innovative development, achievements in digitalization,
technology, and sustainable development.
