Kazakh IT developments are
gaining popularity abroad. Among them are a food delivery application in
Germany and a travel agency software in South Korea. In just three months of
this year, domestic companies exported IT services worth over $158,000 to 19
countries. Eighty percent of these developers received their first orders from abroad.
A total of 73 contracts were signed under the Global Outsourcer acceleration
program by Astana Hub aimed at providing support in receiving orders from
clients through the world’s largest platform.
“Companies will be guided through
the intricacies of registering on international freelance platforms, securing
orders, engaging with clients, and mastering fundamental marketing principles.
The aim is to increase the export volume of IT products from Kazakhstan using
such platforms,” said Astana Hub Managing Director Tanat Uskembayev.
“We have contracts with foreign
companies. Currently, we are working in the outsourcing and outstaffing
formats. For example, we are developing an export-import system for Germany,
making tax calculations for export and import for Albania, and creating a
program for the banking sector and judicial system for Hong Kong. Our main goal
is to showcase the level of IT development in modern Kazakhstan to the world,” shared
Zhassulan Akayev, commercial director of an IT company.
