The Government of Kazakhstan approved the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the country's Gas Industry until 2026, the QazaqGaz National Company reports. The document makes it possible to develop new approaches to regulating the gas market, create conditions for attracting investments expand the resource base to increase the production of marketable gas, as well as ensure uninterrupted and safe gas supply to the country's consumers.
“In regards to developing the domestic market, the company aims to increase the level of gas infrastructure development to 65 percent by 2030 and achieve breakeven. The implementation of the general scheme of gas infrastructure expansion in Kazakhstan will be continued with the attraction of private investments from independent gas distribution organizations,” the national company said.
