In the first half of the year, investments in Kazakhstan's
agro-industrial complex totaled 617 billion tenge. Capital investment in
agriculture reached 442 billion tenge, with investments in food production also
increasing. Gross agricultural output grew by 3.7%, amounting to two trillion
tenge. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this positive trend was driven
by strong performance in both livestock and crop production. One of the
contributing factors to the sector's growth is the financing and implementation
of projects under the program to replicate best practices of the North
Kazakhstan Region. A total of 155 projects have been funded for 178.5 billion
tenge, with one-third already operational - including dairy farms, vegetable
storage facilities, and a feedlot. Annual growth in Kazakhstan’s
agro-industrial sector is expected to be driven by sowing and harvesting
campaigns. This year, the country’s total sown area reached nearly 24 million
hectares.
