Kazakhstan’s goods exports to Russia grow by 15%

Kazakhstan has increased exports of domestic products to Russia. In the January-September period, goods with a total value of nearly six billion tenge were delivered to the neighboring country. The annual growth rate exceeded 15 percent. The most popular export categories were metals and metal products, vehicles, along with the mineral, chemical and agro-industrial products. As for import volumes from Russia, since the beginning of the year, it has surpassed last year’s figures by only one percent. Overall, the mutual trade between the two countries shows positive dynamics. It has grown by five percent in nine months and amounted to slightly more than US$18 billion. The gross inflow of direct investment from Russia to Kazakhstan increased by 30 percent in the first half-year and reached almost US$1 billion.
