Kazakhstan’s automobile transit
transportation volume has grown by nearly 40%, reaching almost five million tonnes
of cargo. The Ministry of Transport compared the data with last year’s figures.
As analysts say, transit from China surged by 67%, rising from 1.5 million to
2.5 million tonnes. To maintain the dynamics and ensure further transit
transportation growth, the ministry plans to transition to electronic foreign
permit forms with Türkiye, Russia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Additionally, it aims
to expand transportation routes by establishing new intergovernmental
agreements with Portugal and Denmark. Currently, Kazakhstan has agreements with
over 40 countries, and the foreign permit approval process is fully automated.
