Kazakh auditors will be able to
work freely in any of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries and make
reports that will be recognized throughout the Union. Today, members of the
Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament ratified the agreement, which provides for
creating a unified market for audit services in the EAEU. The document will
expand business opportunities as well as improve the efficiency and
competitiveness of Kazakh audit companies, as stated by Senate member Serik Uteshov
at the meeting. It is noteworthy that there are currently 500 audit
organizations operating in Kazakhstan.
“The purpose of the agreement is to form a
single audit union, render and receive audit services, without limitation or
exception, without an additional institution in the host country, as well as
mutual recognition of auditors’ certificates and audit reports. The
agreement defines unified requirements for auditors, audit organizations, the
emergence and termination of the right to carry out auditing activities,
examinations, external quality control and auditing standards,” said Uteshev.
