Developing Kazakh language with artificial intelligence

A unique smart assistant that speaks the state language was presented in Kazakhstan. The model is capable of responding to questions, summarizing texts, and performing neural machine translation. Notably, the capabilities of this smart digital assistant, created using artificial intelligence, cover a wide range of fields, including science, education, history, technology, and medicine. The smart language model has a large data storage that can collect information from various sources—online directories, news agencies, and government websites. The smart assistant can freely convert speech from Kazakh into Russian, English, and Turkish.

«In April, we began developing an additional assistant feature – Chat GPT. We have collected 30 billion tokens in the Kazakh language to date. We plan to complete the data collection by September and expect to have a pilot version of the chat ready by mid-September. We aim to finalize the project by Independence Day on December 16 and present it to the public. Overall, Chat GPT, which forms the core of the system, is called the language vision model. For example, you can upload an image, and AI will provide detailed information about it in digital text format. You can interact with it in English, Kazakh, and Russian,» said Yerbol Absalyamov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence.
