Kazakhstan plans to adopt construction and digital codes by year-end

Kazakhstan plans to adopt the Construction Code, the Digital Code, and the Law on Banking Activities by the end of the year. Mazhilis Chairman Yerlan Koshanov briefed President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the activities of the lower house of Parliament. According to Koshanov, work is also underway on draft laws regarding elections, consumer protection, and crime prevention. To date, 15 laws have been adopted and sent to the Senate, while another 77 remain under consideration. He also highlighted the results of parliamentary diplomacy. Kazakhstan has hosted official visits by the heads of parliaments of Mongolia and Hungary on official visits, while deputies continue active cooperation with the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, TURKPA, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, and other international organizations.
