Kazakhstan, Pakistan ready to boost bilateral trade to $1 billion

Kazakhstan and Pakistan aim to increase bilateral trade to $1 billion, with Kazakhstan ready to expand its exports across 40 product categories. This was announced by Kazakh Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev during a meeting with his counterpart in Islamabad. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in geological exploration, the mining and textile industries, the IT and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors, as well as in workforce training. Over the past seven months, trade turnover between the two countries has reached about $90 million - 2.5 times higher compared to the same period last year. Kazakh exports account for more than half of this volume.

«Today, we are preparing a major agreement. The document will open up new opportunities in the transport and trade sectors and establish a legal framework for cooperation. This will enable us to discuss practical projects with specific large companies and sign contracts,» noted Kazakh Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev.
