President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid a working visit to Shanghai, where he took part in a series of high-level meetings and events, including the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026), focused on innovation, artificial intelligence, and digital cooperation. During the visit, the President met with representatives of China’s leading technology companies, reaffirmed the strong strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China, and highlighted opportunities for expanding cooperation in AI, digital infrastructure, education, science, and investment, as well as strengthening collaboration within the Belt and Road Initiative.
