Kazakh water sector specialists will participate in advanced training seminars
in China next year, following an agreement reached during a meeting in Astana.
The two-week courses will be conducted quarterly, according to the relevant
ministry. Today, there is a strong emphasis on expanding international
cooperation in the water sector and sharing expertise. So far this year, over
500 specialists have successfully completed courses at specialized centres.
«Starting
April 2025, four groups of 25 people will participate in the two-week advanced
training courses. We have received your official response. Our specialists are
now prepared to proceed with these proposals,» said Kazakh Minister of Water
Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov.
The meeting
also discussed Power China company’s participation in constructing and
reconstructing reservoirs in Kazakhstan. The Chinese side expressed its
readiness to invest in creating new water management infrastructure.
