Kazakhstan boosts support for non-commodity exports

In Kazakhstan, state support for non-commodity exports has grown by more than 200 billion tenge to nearly 400 billion in seven months. On the President’s instructions, a new Export Credit Agency has been established, operating on a one-stop-shop principle. More than 70% of supported projects come from small and medium-sized businesses, while 83% of exports are medium- and high-value-added goods. According to the Ministry of Trade, foreign offices are being opened to promote domestic products, including in China and Uzbekistan. Work is also actively underway on foreign marketplaces. Along with this, a register of domestic producers is being formed to access state support.

«The trade sector demonstrates positive dynamics: trade grew by 8.6% in January-July 2025, while investments in trade increased by 37% in January-June 2025 and exceeded 430 billion tenge. More than 800,000 business entities are involved in trade, which provide jobs for over one and a half million people,» said Arman Shakkaliyev, Kazakh Minister of Trade and Integration.
