Kazakhstan, Belarus expand cooperation in agricultural sector

Kazakhstan and Belarus are expanding cooperation. This year, mutual trade turnover has grown by 17%, and the two countries aim to increase trade to $1.5 billion. Active collaboration in the agricultural sector and mechanical engineering will contribute to this goal. Notably, Belarusian tractors and harvesters are already being assembled in Kazakhstan. In turn, Kazakhstan supplies agricultural products to Belarus. The first bilateral agricultural forum is designed to discuss prospects for further partnership and establish contacts. Participants will showcase new technologies in dairy and meat production, as well as developments in crop cultivation and agricultural technology. The forum will also explore opportunities for creating joint agricultural clusters.

«Together with the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture, the first Belarus-Kazakhstan Agricultural Forum has been organized. It will focus on the exchange of technologies in dairy and meat production, as well as in agricultural machinery supporting farming operations. A number of documents are expected to be signed, with a total value estimated to exceed $50-60 million,» noted Belarusian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Alexey Bogdanov.
