Kazakhstan has introduced 75 new professions in the
industrial, mechanical engineering, and construction sectors. Their list was
approved under the Atlas of New Professions developed by the relevant ministry.
It includes a robotic mining equipment operator, a digital designer, a Big Data
analyst, a Smart Home systems designer, and other specialists focused on
high-tech production. Eight more professions are expected to emerge in
connection with the implementation of 190 investment projects in the manufacturing
sector. According to the ministry, the annual demand for personnel in the
supervised industries exceeds 40,000 people. At the same time, over 40
traditional professions have been adapted to the new realities, with automation
and digital skills now essential. Workforce training is also being carried out
through a dual system.
«In the industrial sector, dual training is offered in 284
colleges, involving more than 700 industrial enterprises. Within the signed
agreements and memorandums with enterprises, over 30 educational programs are
being implemented. As a result, more than 13,000 young specialists secure
permanent employment each year,» said Iran Sharkhan, Kazakh Vice Minister of
Industry and Construction.
