Trade
and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Mongolia demonstrates positive
dynamics. Previously, annual trade turnover stood at $124 million, while in the
first half of 2025,
it has already reached $74
million. This indicates an increase in mutual agreements. At the same time,
Kazakhstan’s
exports to Mongolia amounted to
$71
million,
with the main share consisting of processed and agricultural products. The data was announced at
the second meeting of the Kazakh-Mongolian Business Council, which brought together
around 50 companies from Kazakhstan and slightly fewer from Mongolia. Experts
note strong prospects for cooperation in metallurgy, logistics, and tourism.
Following the meeting, the sides signed three memorandums.
«New areas of cooperation
include agriculture, agro-industrial development, processing of agricultural
products, and green energy. There is also great interest in tourism. This is
important for both Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Additional opportunities lie in IT
trade and digitalization,» said Murat Karimsakov, Chairman of Kazakhstan’s Foreign Trade Chamber.
