Nearly 190 billion tenge invested in Zhetisu region’s economy

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Zhetisu region governor Beibit Issabayev, who reported that almost 190 billion tenge of investments have been attracted to the region’s economy since the beginning of the year. A number of promising investment projects are currently underway, including a large metallurgical plant, the Kazakh-Chinese International Industrial City, and a wind power station. Gas infrastructure development is also progressing, with full completion expected by 2028.

«I reported to President Tokayev on the results of the region’s socio-economic development for the first seven months of 2024, along with the plans for the upcoming period. The Head of State instructed to continue efforts to further develop agriculture, transit and transport capacity, infrastructure, and tourism, which are the key growth drivers of the region’s socio-economic development,» Issabayev noted.
