Kazakhstan is establishing a Data Processing Center under the State Revenue Committee to analyze information in the field of fiscal control. The initiative aims to enhance transparency and improve administrative efficiency, positioning the tax authority as a leader in digital transformation. The government is actively integrating artificial intelligence into the economy. For example, the Smart Data Finance system, which utilizes AI tools, helps detect tax violations and create digital profiles of taxpayers. The platform already connects to more than 70 data sources, with over 100 expected by the end of the year. Other notable initiatives include the “Digital VAT” project, implemented in partnership with the National Bank, and the “Digital Silk Way,” designed to enable real-time tracking of cargo flows and identify congestion on roads and at customs checkpoints.
«Comprehensive, high-quality solutions are needed
to strengthen economic and tax sustainability, advance digitalization, and
simplify business operations. In his state-of-the-nation address, the President
emphasized that all sectors of the economy must be modernized through digital
transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence — a strategic
priority for the country. All sectoral ministries must ensure the full
digitalization of their respective industries. As part of the digital
transformation of the economy, the State Revenue Committee should become a
flagship of digitalization among government bodies,» said Kazakh Prime
Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
